I am interested in having a personal chef.  
How exactly does it work?

Step 1 Initial Consultation and Meal Selection
Chef Sue Clair will discuss what “you” like to eat and determine the frequency of service. Next, Chef Sue Clair will plan your menus. “Your” menus will be e-mailed to you for approval before “our” first cheffing date.

Step 2 Meal Preparation
Before arrival on your chosen cooking date, all of your groceries will be purchased. Chef Sue Clair will arrive at your home with everything necessary to prepare your meals.

Step 3 Packaging and Clean-Up
Your food will be packaged, labeled, and refrigerated or freezer ready with specific heating instructions. Your kitchen will be left spotless with only the aromas of delicious freshly home cooked meals specifically prepared “for you.”

Pricing – Chef Sue Clair’s primary services

5 *Entrée Service — 5 complete *entrée’s and complimentary side dishes = 20 portions
$325.00 (Groceries Not Included)

4 *Entrée Service — 4 complete *entrée’s and complimentary side dishes = 16 portions
$275.00 (Groceries Not Included)

3 *Entrée Service — 3 complete *entrée’s and complimentary side dishes = 12 portions
$225.00 (Groceries Not Included)

*Each entrée provides 4 portions
Plans listed above include a base fee plus grocery costs

An initial fee for storage containers or vacuum sealing will be discussed during your consultation and included in your grocery costs.

Sue Clair’s Chef Service offers vacuum-sealed meals. Meals maintain the integrity and nutritional value of the ingredients used. Your meals last up to five times longer, eliminating freezer burn, extending the freshness of your food, and reducing the space needed to accommodate the storing of your items in the refrigerator or freezer.

Adult portion – 1 portion $15.00
Side Dish Request – 4 portions $15.00
Soup Requests — 6 portions (8 oz. servings) $24.00
Fresh Salad and Dressing — 4 to 6 portions (cost determined by request and ingredients) $15.00 approx.

Fresh Service
On a weekly or bi-weekly basis Chef Sue Clair can accommodate a custom menu arrangement for those with a preference to only refrigerate their meals. The pricing for this service varies according to customizing menu development and special requests, grocery costs, and elaborateness or simplicity of meals.

*Each entrée provides 4 portions

  • Each personal chef service session can provide you with one or two entrées = maximum 8 portions and complimentary sides
  • Salad (add on cost)
  • Soup (add on cost)
  • Dessert (add on cost)

Special Request
Special Requests Available — shopping for all organic produce and special dietary needs such as low fat and low caloric intake are included in a customized menu plan. Extra planning for special requests including South Beach, E Diets, Diabetic, Vegan, Macrobiotic, and Celiac diet will require a $25.00 extra planning fee for each chef date.
